As the 2024 Season is almost upon us, the players, volunteers, and Board of Directors have been working hard Behind The Scenes. There have been many of things happening such as player recruitment, working bees to get out clubhouse and field up for being ready for 1, and so much more.
One of the biggest things that has happened is the name change that our beloved home is about to go through. Us here at the Cairns City Lions do believe that this is the 2nd time in AFL Cairns history that an AFL Cairns oval has had a naming rights sponsor. Second to only Cazaly’s.
ITEC Group Australia have been a great sponsor of ours for 4 years. Plus, now have just committed to another 2 years and expanding their sponsorship of the Cairn City Lions. In 2024 ITEC Group have expanded their partnership with us to take on our ground naming rights sponsor. So from now on, our home ground will be known as ITEC Group Oval for the next two years. They will also continue to support via ITEC Group Employment as Dreamtime By The Sea and Coaches Sponsor.
For over 25 years, ITEC Group Australia have been dedicated to providing support and resources to people within the community. They deliver high quality services, aiding people in times of need and advocating for social inclusion. They provide programs relating to health, disabilities, child safety, families, mental health and more. They are a fantastic organisation and have strong family values that align with our club.
